Paula is an Assistant Professor of Business Economics at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. Her areas of research are applied microeconomics and development economics.
She studies how noncognitive skills and adverse life events affect health and labor market outcomes. Her current projects focus on female entrepreneurship, firm productivity, forced displacement, and the causes and consequences of interpersonal violence.
