Bekele Shiferaw currently leads thematic and focused evaluations and project assessments at the Independent Evaluation Group at the World Bank as a Senior Evaluation Specialist. He has worked as an agricultural and resource economist in international development in Africa and Asia for over 25 years including in research, program evaluation, policy analysis and advocacy.
He received his PhD degree from the School of Economics, Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
