Chris Rooney is a Junior Researcher at the Development Policy Research Unit in the University of Cape Town. He obtained his Business Science (Economics) and Masters in Applied Economics (Development stream) from the University of Cape Town. He is currently pursuing a degree in Data Science. His areas of interests include labour markets, structural transformation and behavioural economics. He has previously worked with organisations such as the Department of Labour, World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the African Development Bank, and the ILO.
