Nurbek Jenish received his PhD in Economics from the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary in 2008. His dissertation examined the choice of exchange rate regimes in partially dollarized developing economies and monetary and fiscal policy interactions in new EU member countries on their road to adopting the euro. He has taught Introductory Econometrics, Applied Econometrics, and Time Series and Panel Data Econometrics courses at the American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Currently, he is doing research at the Institute of Public Policy and Administration of the University of Central Asia. His research interests include applied econometrics, development economics, and monetary economics.
