Markus Frölich

    University of Mannheim

Markus Frölich is a Professor at the University of Mannheim and a permanent Visiting Professor of Econometrics at the University of St. Gallen. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics (JBES) and Co-Editor of Labour Economics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 2002 (St.Gallen, Switzerland). His main research area is econometric impact evaluation, with a particular focus on labour markets in developing countries. He has published widely in econometrics and applied development economics. Recent research includes impact assessments and empirical analysis with primary data collection on school feeding in Ethiopia, schools for pastoralists in Mali, rural cooperatives in Africa, microinsurance in the Philippines, and the evaluation of microfinance in several countries. He is an IZA Research Fellow.
