Dr. Ahu Gemici (Co-I) is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Royal Holloway. She has earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has previously worked at New York University in the US. Dr. Gemici works on Labor, Family, and Public economics, focusing on female education and labor supply choices, marriage and cohabitation, and joint mobility decisions of households. Dr. Gemici has extensive expertise in developing and estimating structural models of female employment, job search, and family decisions. She has published in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals such as the International Economic Review and Review of Economic Dynamics.
