Achyuta Adhvaryu

    University of California San Diego

Achyuta Adhvaryu is currently a professor of Economics at the University of San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy and the Director of the ’21st Century India Center. Prior to his current appointment, he was an associate professor at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He received his PhD in economics from Yale in 2009. His research interests lie at the intersection of development and health economics. Recently, he has focused on the productivity and retention impacts of worker welfare programs, and evaluations of new business models for private-sector healthcare delivery in low-income contexts. He is also a co-founder and Chief Development Officer of Good Business Lab and sits on the organization’s Board of Directors.
