G²LM|LIC/Path2Dev/BREAD Conference on Development Economics

From September 11 to 13, 2025, a joint conference with the path2dev cooperation and the BREAD network took place at LUMS university in Lahore, Pakistan. The conference consisted of academic presentations, where a couple of young scholars from Pakistan and India had the opportunity of having been mentored before the conference by experienced BREAD fellows. Moreover, one full day was dedicated to policy panels with one of them focusing on female labour force participation in Pakistan and potential barriers and opportunities featuring the evidence of three G²LM|LIC projects. The grantees who discussed their work included Kate Vyborny (World Bank), Hamna Ahmed (Lahore School of Economics) and Raymond Robertson (Texas A&M).
