Dave Donaldson receives 2017 John Bates Clark Medal

It is with great pleasure that we offer Dr. Dave Donaldson (Stanford University) our warmest congratulations for being awarded the 2017 John Bates Clark Medal, one of the most prestigious American Economic Association awards.

The Clark Medalist has been a GLM|LIC researcher since 2013. Dr. Donaldson is a Co-Investigator of the project “Estimate the Effect of Local Labour Demand Shocks on Internal Migration and Local Wages”. The project explores new approaches using mobile phone data from Rwanda to study migration and the role it plays in labour markets in low-income countries. Dr. Donaldson has presented the findings of the project in the 2nd IZA/DFID GLM|LIC Research Network Conference in Oxford in 2016.

The GLM|LIC programme congratulates Dr. Donaldson.
